12 Days of Kovid-Mas – Day One: Home Alone

Favorite Korean Variety Moments

When we think of Home Alone we think of the classically funny moments that had us rolling over in a fit of laughter. We thought that with this movie we should direct our attention to the hilarious moments that we found while watching Korean variety shows. It was hard to pick just two each, but we thought this would entice you all to go out and seek more.

Note: Lazy Unnie’s picks are in RED and Sugar Baby’s picks are in GREEN.

Jessi on Running Man

I would love it if Jessi would become a regular on Running Man, because her Tom and Jerry relationship with Yu Jae Suk is so funny. Part of me wonders if Jessi is as much of a airhead as she seems or if it’s just a lost in translation moment. The way she had no idea how this game worked was such a mood, I couldn’t stop laughing. Every time she’s on, I know I’m gonna laugh my ass off.

EXO on Knowing Brothers

People keep saying that these fools aren’t funny but again and again they prove that their level of crackhead is out of this world. It’s really a shame that they don’t have them on more variety shows because Kai and Baekhyun alone need their own comedy show. Like does Kai even thinkAnd the way Chanyeol and Sehun just threw themselves at the wall? HILARIOUS.

YEH x KJK – X Man

This is still one of the most iconically funny moments in Korean Entertainment. Years later and Kim Jong Kook still gets teased by Yoo Jae Suk about this moment. I can’t imagine a show like this being acceptable within today’s idol society, but it would surely be a site to behold. We would love to see Yoon Eun Hye back on Running Man and reliving this moment.

Jennie – Running Man

It’s the way THIS STILL HAS ME REELING. Name a more iconic Running Man moment in recent times. The way she stole Korea’s heart with this one was truly a gift. I knew this moment was coming because I have consistently said that Jennie was variety gold but no one listened and look at me now. Hahahah.
