So.. fun fact about me.. I have always thought that Netflix dramas, whether originals or just the ones they get exclusive airing rights to, are always severely overhyped and I have yet to be proven wrong. So yeah I watched My Name because everyone kept saying how amazing it was and I suppose in a way it may have been for a lot of people. Sadly, I am not one of those people.
I think that overall this is an okay drama, but I think that I am extra harsh because of how well liked and highly rated this is because lord knows there is literally nothing new here at all. I felt like I watched this show a million times already and unfortunately this is not my favorite version. Every action, reaction and dialogue was by the book. I can give props where props are due, and say that the acting and soundtrack were extremely good. I am very impressed by Han So Hee here because the things I have seen her in have not done her justice. However, Park Hee Son ate her ass up! Whew! And he was so damn fine here too like gagging. I wanna split on his cock. I will join as your second wife.
Predictable storyline with a lot of inconsistencies aside, chemistry was a big meh here and so I can see the unnecessary sex scene complaints validity. Romance was not necessary here. This though, brings me back to my point that shows that become insanely hyped up are like this because they are on Netflix. I feel like there would’ve been more intense scrutiny to this show if it was on a different network. Like, the showdown was so damn unbelievable lmfaoooooooo. Let’s be honest here, the bloody fights and raging violence were definitely what people looked forward to this most.
All in all, decent show that requires you to suspend disbelief. Uh pretty good fight scenes and acting. Severely overrated. Park Hee Soon call me.

Story: 6/10
Acting: 9/10
Music: 8/10
Rewatch Value: 2/10
Overall: 6.5/10

The Park Hee Soon comments BYE. I feel you very much on that LMAO. I also developed a random obsession with Lee Hak Joo cause Taejoo was lowkey my fav character here.
PS. I think the description of the drama is from Shadow Beauty, you probably accidentally put that (coming from someone who recently put a header of a completely different drama for a review… I’m blind)
Hahaha thank you for catching that! I swore I read it like three times too and didn’t pick up on it. And yes Taejoo was also fine afffff Idk the bad guys hit differently in this drama.. I was rooting for them. Felt tempted to watch Artificial City for him!
