Gumiho, literally “nine-tailed fox” is a creature that appears in the folktales and legends of Korea.

It is based on an original webtoon. It tells the story of a male Gumiho, who has lived for hundreds of years to become a human being, having his fox beads taken away by a female college student in an accident and living in a house together to solve this problem.

Thoughts: In total and complete transparency, I had/have zero expectations for this drama and after completing the first two episodes, I stand by this notion. I read like a couple chapters of the webtoon and so I wasn’t entirely on board for Hyeri to play Lee Dam, I will say that there’s nothing particularly bad about her in this role. Matter of fact, I would say that Hyeri thrives at playing different version of Deoksun. I quite enjoyed this two episodes. I love the ridiculousness of it. I am so into having lighthearted and fun romantic comedies that I wasn’t turned off by all the shenanigans of these episodes. Matter of fact, I quite literally found myself laughing out loud and I had to take a step back like whoa. Hahah. So we have a pretty cast, exaggerated acting and fun sets. I can dig this especially if we don’t go all melodramatic with it. I already think that Hyeri and Kiyong suit each other and I look forward to see if they can develop a romantic chemistry. PS- Inhyuk and Kiyong are styled similarly in this drama and it is making me so trippy at times hahaha.

Recommendations: If you’re into Goblin/Tale of The Nine Tailed, like looking at hot men and enjoy comedic hijinks.
