Not even going to lie, I’ve definitely watched this web drama in order to hit a square on my bingo card so I could make bingo by the end of the year. Am I mad about it? No. Because, at the end of the day, I freaking enjoyed this little ball of clichéness.
There is nothing absolutely original about this premise or the scenarios that happen in this short school-themed drama. Even down to the guy who wants our female to be his girlfriend and of course, he results in violence in the form of grabbing her wrist. But it’s our sour patch male lead that comes to her rescue. Like I said, cliché. I think what I liked the most was how easy it was to watch. It’s something good to watch when you’re in between shows and need something sweet to reset your drama palette.
The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was the love triangle. I never really believed in the relationship between Kim Yeondoo and Ji Hyunho. Okay, maybe he did fall for her after being around her more often because of the misunderstanding. But it just seemed like Yeondoo just had a better relationship building with Seo Joo Ho. But for Joo Ho to take defeat that quick was also shocking! Usually, there is a bigger fight. Maybe it’s because it’s a web drama and they can only do so much.
At the end of the day, I can’t rate this low because it accomplished what it set out to be, a good simple web drama. Sometimes you just need some fluff in your system and Best Mistake can be that.
