MYDRAMALIST
Thoughts: I, Sugar Baby Unnie, am an easy woman. Thoroughly and shamefully so. I love Lee Sung Kyung and I love Kim Young Dae. There wasn’t a reality in which I would not be watching this drama. Let’s get the controversy out of the way— Yes, the depiction of ‘Africa’ is very poor. I’m over people using Africa to show humanity. Imagine, I was saying how they’re able to find white people so easily all the time, but for some reason when it comes to Black people, they can only ever find them to make a mockery or emphasize how poor Africa is. Like gtfo. Also, umm pretty sure there are places in Korea without clean running water too but I digress. Now, on to the show… It’s enjoyable! I like what we’ve seen so far. The whole behind the scenes of the entertainment world is fun. I enjoy the characters and their personality traits so far. I was genuinely cracking up at the way they portray the world around them. I relate to Soo Hyuk deeply in that when I am off the clock, I am off the clock. Do not fucking call me. This feels like it’ll be an easy one to watch as I don’t anticipate any surprises. One thing about me though? I LOVE BICKERING COUPLES. GIVE ME ALL THE BANTER. Keep this pace and I will be deeply satisfied.
Recommendations: If you’re into bickering couples, celeb stories, and hijinks.
