Let me preface this review by saying that I wish I had noticed this drama was only six episodes before I started… The only feeling I have at the end of this all is summarized in this one gif.

Y’all.. This show irked my nerves. I should’ve followed my gut and just stopped after episode 4, but then I saw that it was only six episodes and told myself that I couldn’t pussy out now…. I AM SO IRRITATED. The first three episodes had me like 🙂 then the following three episodes had me like 😡 With a drama this short, I think my irritation was magnified because like ughhhh….!!!!!
Okay let me calm down and talk about the strongest part of the show which is the cast and the actor’s portrayals. Each actor did a fantastic job at bringing the shit script to life and making their characters endearing. I loved Angie, she was such a joyful and sweet character. I enjoyed that she had this badass persona, but was this bubbly fangirl and it was nice that we saw the big contrast between her so easily. I also liked Ling Yun and how she represented the kind who has been jaded in the past and tries to keep everyone away and handle her shit herself. Our male lead was an adorable dork. I know the central theme is about elephants, but he really was just this little fickle puppy. Apparently this is the character that is most like Jasper and I now wanna marry him. To be honest, Jasper and Eugenie have really good chemistry together. It was quite decadent!
Now that we have acknowledged the only good thing about the show, let us now talk about how this plot is literal garbage and this was a garbage ass shit show. The potential was there, but the execution was like a poor mans fanfiction. Like I said before, I didn’t know that this was only six episodes and I realized when I was on episode four because I was shocked that our couple had gotten together so quickly and a majority of their scenes were just montages. I was preparing myself for an onslaught of bullshit as a result and I was right. The show ended on a cliff hanger for a potential season two and I mean, I don’t even know if it is worth it. I know for sure that I will not be watching.
All in all, I do not recommend this drama. Even though the cast and chemistry are good, I think you will end up feeling like cheated by the end. Or maybe if you prepare yourself for it, you have a better chance of not being disappointed.
