CHINESEDRAMAINFO

When I started this drama I was coming off the boredom induced drama Lost Romance that damn near crippled my watching experience for the week I spent watching it. I know that tons of people had a lot of issues with this drama, but imma keep it real chief, I already parked my logic at the door when I saw the description for this drama. I started this one for the kisses and that’s what I got so can I really complain? The answer is yes.

At the core this is your standard romantic comedy with the fluffy girl and the grumpy guy. The twist being that something happens which allows them to feel each other’s emotions. I admit that I did not have much expectations for this not to be a cliched mess as soon as I saw the first car crash and they didn’t let me down. As far as I am concerned, the story was too long and kind of losted it’s plot along the way. Having Si Yi spy on him then be like “I don’t want him to be hurt!” I was like huh? She actually started off as being so likeable then she became a whiny, insufferable character. Let’s not even mention whatever the hell the last episode was. I straight up laughed my ass off when we got yet another car crash.

Anyways story aside, the thing that will make you stay is the chemistry between the leads as well as the side characters. Kris and Judy were giving the kisses and honestly it played well with the kind of raunchy vibe that this drama gave off. I also really enjoyed Yan Xin and Lin Wen’s relationship as well. Although I liked Zhi Xiao and Yun Zhu’s characters as individuals (for the most part), I wasn’t particularly fond of their love line/entanglement. However, while on the topic can we talk about how beautiful Zhang Chu Xan is? I need to see her in more roles.

In the end this drama doesn’t do anything differently, but is still enjoyable for the most part. The cast’s chemistry makes up for the plot holes in the script. I really think it should’ve just committed more to being silly and over the top instead of curbing to the melodramatics. If you’re into messy romantic comedies then this is for you, but like I would say there’s no problem with skipping this one and just binging the couple shit online.
